A reader doesn’t really see the characters in a story; He feels them.

JORGE
Jorge is a master at working with glue, and he is very skilled with the paper too. He wraps them both around a bent wire frame, and when he is done, it is never the same. But one in particular, he has to perfect, for a beautiful pig does his Lola expect.
PANCHO
Pancho the Pig is very sweet, and not just because he’s filled with treats. He’s very friendly and very kind, and if you wanna hug him, he certainly won’t mind. And if you wanna play, and you get a little rough, that’s not a problem, because he’s very tough. When all’s read and done, he just wants a friend, one that will last, once his story ends.
CYNTHIA
Cynthia the Dog is the type who gets jealous, for when it comes to fiestas, she can be a bit zealous. After all, she’s the oldest, and she’s getting quite bored. She dreams of the party where she’s loved and adored. Instead, it’s the pig and that plucky ducky. The dog doesn’t know it, but she got pretty lucky.
DONNA
Donna the Duck is a friendly fowl who never once has been known to scowl. When she goes to the party, this bright yellow bird returns with a message that demands to be heard. “But no one will listen,” she says with a sigh, as she watches the panicked piñatas run by.
MIGUEL
Miguel the Monkey is a cheeky lad, but it’s only in fun. He’s not really bad. The party, to him, is very exciting, and all of the children are o so inviting. But when, one day, the truth is revealed, he’ll help free a pig whose fate has been sealed.
LOLA
Lovely little Lola is the birthday girl, the luckiest girl in the whole wide world. For Lola’s abuelo makes magical things, and he counts his success with the joy that he brings from pretty piñatas made with such great care, bursting with candies and such love to share.
